Call it what you want- straw, raffia, woven or basket - this summer trend is giving me all the French-girl-fashion feelings. Could it be the ultimate mix of simplicity and glamour? The perfect accessory to carry around on your summer vacation to Cannes but also on a trip to the grocery store? I think it just might be. Click through the slideshow to see my favorites...I honestly can't believe these are all under $100! Happy shopping..
I've been inspired by some of my favorite bloggers, including Lisa of Something Pretty (a great friend from college!) to share a few of my goals at the beginning of each month. It can be anything that I want to accomplish, and hopefully posting them here will help keep me accountable. I've already felt so excited and fulfilled just by starting to post again, and I've started to realize how important it is for me to do things that are just for me!
1. Start reading a good summer book (open to suggestions!)
2. Take 2 dance classes and 1 yoga class
3. Decide on a kitchen back splash
4. Plan our upcoming weekend in Portland
5. Sign up for Camp Gladiator
Today I'm sharing a few of the things currently on my wishlist! I love browsing for more aspirational items that give me some inspiration for the month, and let that influence what I'm looking to actually buy. I plan to share a "Currently Coveting" post at the beginning of each month so I can share what is inspiring to me product-wise at the moment!
I like to save any products that I love to pinterest boards and then find the themes in what I'm pinning the most. It helps me narrow down what I actually want to invest in versus what feels trendy, and should be purchased at a lower price point. It's also a great way to keep track of when things go on sale, since it's all saved in one place! (Does anyone else do this??) White tennis shoes are at the top of my list, along with straw bags and espadrilles for the summer. And Fresh's Brown Sugar Body Scrub and Rose Face Mask are some of my tried-and-true summer beauty items. What's on your wishlist this month? I'd love to hear in the comments below!
