Today's post is all about a trend I am loving for fall: textured neutrals. Keeping a couple basic neutrals like a chambray in your wardrobe is great because that means you will always have items on hand to mix and match with, but adding a standout textured neutral to the mix creates a look that is anything but boring! I paired this grey chambray shirt with a pair of comfy, cozy velvet leggings. Every girl has a pair of leggings in her closet she likes to break out when the colder temperatures hit- but I love these velvet ones as a departure from the everyday plain black. This outfit doubles as a go-to look during this transitional fall weather, and the velvet leggings are perfect for a night out! I completed the look with my old leather tote and a dark cranberry lip that I love for winter.
*A tip on wearing a dark red lip when you are super pale: I loved this shade from NARS, but I was pretty nervous about using such a dark color because my skin tone is so light. My best advice is to make sure your lips are well moisturized, use a lip primer if you can, and then use a lip brush to layer on your lipstick until you achieve the depth of color that looks best on you! Keep your eye makeup light.
