Fall is probably my favorite season. I know for some people spring time is best known for starting anew, a fresh outlook and the summer months, but for me there is nothing more exciting and invigorating than fall. Perhaps it’s something to do with my introverted-ness, but to me nothing sounds better than staying indoors with a cup of coffee cozying up to an old favorite movie. Watching the leaves turn gold and red, reaching for my favorite cozy sweaters and boots, and lighting apple cider-scented candles are among the many items on my fall bucket list. There’s a quietness and a peacefulness that comes with the season, and it brings so much to look forward to. Including what to wear…

This season I’m so happy that one of my favorite fabrics is becoming a bit of a trend. I’ve always had a deep love for tweed. Whether its the Chanel-esque vibe, the perfect chic and classic touch it brings to every outfit, or the cozy comfortable feel, it’s easy to gravitate towards in the fall months. And while I know that there are so many other fabrics people are excited about for fall- leather, corduroy, or velvet, I’m glad tweed is having it’s moment in the sun! I love the grey blue tone of this dress I’m wearing in the post (PSA: you can still dress for fall and not be wearing orange, red or yellow. Wear whatever colors you are comfortable in that suit you best!) and I love the ultra-flattering cut on this dress. It feels a little bit like modern-day Cinderella.
