Home for the Holidays

Today I thought it would be fun to share a few photos of our home for the holidays! I love decorating for the holidays and while I don’t go overboard, I think its always fun to dress up the space with a few festive pieces. It’s my own little holiday tradition to put on “When Harry Met Sally” while I decorate the tree and make a cup of hot chocolate. Perhaps thats an odd choice - but scenes of New York’s Central Park covered in snow and Sally dragging a giant tree back to her apartment get me every time!

I’m sure its no surprise to anyone here that I stuck with a fairly predictable theme - gold, white and blue! I like sticking to one color palette so that the room still feels relaxing even with some extra festive decor. I love doing something a little different than the usual red and green - this still feels traditional but a little bit more elegant!

I only added one new Christmas decor item this year - this tree collar from Crate & Barrel. It goes perfectly in the space and I think it’s something I’ll use forever. (Ps - it’s on sale for under $50!) I love how it covers the base of the tree rather than a tree skirt which would have otherwise left a gap.

I hope you all are having just as much fun decorating your homes for the holidays, and I wish everyone a happy holiday season!
